BioMe is a research group of Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Faculty of Engineering (FOE), University of Rajshahi (RU), Bangldesh (BD). BioMe actually means an area with the same weather, plants, animals, and soil. However, the BioMe research group was formed to conduct research on BioMedical and BioMetric data to ensure secured digital healthcare for everyone. It was formed by Dr. Sangeeta Biswas (Associate Professor, CSE, FOE, RU, BD) in 2022 with the support and encouragement of Dr. Golam Shabbir Sattar (Vice-Chancellor & Professor, RU, BD). Currently, it is directed by Dr. Bimal Kumar Pramanik (Dean, FOE, RU, BD & Professor, CSE, FOE, RU, BD), Subrata Kumar Pramanik (Chairman & Associate Professor, CSE, FOE, RU, BD), and Dr. Iqbal Aziz Khan (Professor, CSE, FOE, RU, BD). Eleven national and international researchers and ophthalmologists are present members of BioMe.
The research activities of BioMe are mainly funded by FOE, RU, BD. It also receives research grants from the central research fund of RU, BD.
